Brethren,
January’s meeting was brief in order to provide time for the Doric Association annual meeting where the brothers participated in a very productive discussion.
February’s meeting will feature a presentation by a representative from The Pawtuxet Rangers, who many of you know currently reside in Harmony Lodge’s former facility. Their history is linked in many ways to our own and this will be discussed in the presentation. This leads us to Thursday February 5th when Harmony will host The Swords of Bunker Hill Degree, presented by the Gaspee Order 99. If you have not received the Sword degree please plan on joining us for this outstanding event. Candidates are asked to Confirm their participation with Brother Pat Connor, at 212-203-2011 orjrsteward@harmony9.org. Are you already a Sword? Please join us on the sidelines for the fun many of our Brothers will be participating as candidates, a big turn out only makes the degree more meaningful.
Worshipful Edwards has a menu of Baked Chicken and or Baked Fish, ( Not Bob ) Please keep in mind that with a reservation the dinner fee is $7.00, without a reservation the fee is $10.00. It’s really important to give Jesse a reasonable estimate of how many to cook for. Of course we understand sometimes a last minute decision is the best we can do and certainly don’t want to discourage anyone from attending.
Finally, as my year in the East progresses, I am constantly learning of new duties I was unaware of and one of the most fun has been fielding the phone calls from folks seeking to book a room at the Lodge. Somewhere out there on the net we are listed as a resort Lodge.
Now that I am aware that we are also a resort lodge, construction on the whirlpool in the Master’s office will begin immediately.
