Harmony Lodge #9 F.& A.M.

2010-2011

Brethren,

The summer is finally upon us, and I for one, am looking forward to slow- ing our pace down as we end our business for the season and focus more on our social events and en- joying each others company in a more casual manner. Yet there is still work to be done.

June begins with our Annual Past Master’s Night on the 7th, and Wor. Arthur Kurtz will be in the East with a distinguished line of past Masters to assist him for the evening. Lodge will be opening at 6PM, as this is also our annual Steak fry. If you will be attending please get your reservations into Wor. Steve Charron as soon as possible.

This month our Charity project will be the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center in Boston. This organization offers housing to patients seeking cancer treatment in the Boston area who would normally have to travel more than an hour from home. Their services are provided to their patients free of charge. They seek no financial donations, only products for the residents use, such as toiletries. Our typical $250 monthly donation and 1/2 of any charity envelope contributions will be used to shop for these items to be presented in early June. Also we will except donations at the June 7th meeting.

As many of you know a member of our organization is currently a guest at the Hope Lodge, and has ex- pressed his personal thanks for our support.

Looking ahead into the month of July, we will have our annual Picnic on the 17th and our charity Golf Tournament on the 23rd. If you plan on attending the picnic with your family, please contact Bro Al Anton with a head count no Later than July 10th. As always for those interested in playing or volunteering at the Golf Tournament, Wor. Carmine Depetrillo will be happy to hear from you.

Fraternally,

Robert J. Kempf
