Harmony Lodge #9 F.&A.M.

Brothers, Ladies and Friends of the Lodge,

By the time you receive this message, we will be coming upon the end of the Holiday Season. I hope that everyone had a healthy and happy celebration. The first month of our Masonic year has certainly flown by. We have already held our holiday sick and infirm visitations, ladies luncheon and children’s Christmas party. Things in Harmony move fast, and we are always looking for more assistance from all of you to continue providing quality opportunities for conducting the work of the day.

As we approach the New Year, I find myself spending a lot of time contemplating upon our new group of candidates for the craft. So much of the success of the craft rests in producing quality Masons to join us in our endeavors, and this duty is incumbent upon all of us. To that end, I would urge you to make every effort in attending the Entered Apprentice degree on January 28th. A full Lodge room can’t help but to show these men the importance that we place on their success.

In addition to attending the degree work, Brother Adam Clement will be looking for worthy brothers willing to serve as mentors for the class during the upcoming year. There is so much knowledge reposed in you all that we would love to see conferred to the class, and what better way than by mentoring and spending time with these men?

In closing, the success of the year, and of the Lodge, rests not in the small few elected and appointed to serve, but in the collaborative efforts of us all. Volunteer some time to one of the numerous committees that coordinate the Lodges activities, pass along the knowledge you have acquired, and volunteer your time. You might just find yourself enjoying the work in doing so.

Fraternally,

Jeremy Newton
