Thank you, Brothers, for electing me Master of Harmony Lodge for the 2017 – 2018 term. I am extremely humbled in knowing that I am following a long line of dedicated Masters whose love of the Craft, and Harmony in particular, is well evidenced by the fact we celebrate 212 years since our dispensation was granted and there are no signs of us slowing down .<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
To the Officers, both elected and appointed, I couldn\u2019t ask for a better line to support the work ahead. As much as the upcoming year is talked about being \u201cmy\u201d year, this is a group effort. It is also an opportunity for each of the Officers to continue to learn and grow, so that when it is their turn to sit in the Oriental Chair, they are well prepared.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
The Harmony schedule does not typically allow for any of the Officers to \u201cease\u201d into their roles, as no sooner do we sit in our new seats, then we are off and running. Some upcoming events (details of which are advertised in the following pages) include:<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s Christmas Party on December 16 th<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Each of these events is important, so please plan on participating in as many as you are able.<\/p>\n

Looking further ahead, Harmony is in the fortunate position of having a potentially large incoming class. Due to the size, it may be necessary to have two Entered Apprentice degrees. Please keep an eye on the next issue of the Trestleboard, as there may be a change in previously advertised degree dates.<\/p>\n
We will also be returning to Groton for our Annual Getaway Weekend, scheduled for the weekend of February 16 th , 17 th , and 18 th . W:. Jesse Edwards is again spearheading the event, and more details will be available at our December meeting . And speaking of our December meeting, Dave Brody will be returning to Harmony to talk about his new book, The Cult of Venus .<\/p>\n
